”With a long history at our company, Monty plays an integral role in our operations, primarily focusing on hauling bison.
Monty’s journey as a bison hauler began in 2015, when he had the opportunity to accompany seasoned driver, Hal, on a trip to transport bison calves to a ranch. Since then, Monty has taken on the unique challenge of hauling these powerful animals.
Reflecting on his experience, Monty shares, “Bison have their own pace and require careful handling during loading and unloading—not every driver is cut out for this task.”
He credits Hal for imparting valuable knowledge about patience and remaining calm around these remarkable creatures.

Joining the Roberge family in 2004, Monty greatly values the fact that we are a well-established, family-run business.
Witnessing the involvement of three generations of the same family in our day-to-day operations impresses him, particularly in today’s corporate landscape.

Monty’s passion for truck driving developed at a young age.
Growing up in the 80s, he developed a fascination for trucks, playing with toy versions and marvelling at the real ones passing by.
His childhood dream eventually became a reality. After high school, Monty worked with heavy equipment until an opportunity arose in the winter of 1997 when he pursued his Class 1 license.
Since completing his training in 1998, Monty has built a successful career as a driver, handling a variety of loads ranging from fluids to heavy hauls to livestock.
